Based on the shape of the tour proven CG14, the CG16 has a hint of offset and is slightly larger for added forgiveness. Like the CG15, the face features Tour Zip Grooves in combination with our breakthrough Laser Milled surface roughness technology to maximize spin. The back of the wedge features a slight cavity back with an engineered undercut to move the center of gravity low and deep to improve forgiveness. The wider “C” shaped sole has constant width from heel to toe for improved bunker performance. Available in Black Pearl or Satin Chrome finish.

Based on the shape of Cleveland's Tour-proven CG14 wedge, the CG16 Black Pearl combines a hint of offset with a slightly larger size for added forgiveness, making it a great choice for golfers of all skill levels. The CG16 is made using Cleveland's revolutionary Laser Milled technology. Using the precision accuracy of a laser, Cleveland mills four perfectly calibrated texture lines between each groove--right to the conforming limit. This breakthrough surface texture optimizes the ball-to-face friction and maximizes the allowable spin under the Rules of Golf.
The club's shot-making prowess is further improved by Cleveland's Zip Grooves technology, which creates 25 percent bigger grooves, each with pristine edges. This helps increase the shot "zip" and consistency, especially from poor lies. Cleveland also added perimeter weighting and geometry, helping deepen the club's center of gravity and increase its moment of inertia (MOI). As a result, the club provides improved stability and forgiveness on off-center hits while maintaining the signature Cleveland feel. And golfers will love the CG16's Tour-proven C sole design.
